Shell Online Recruitment in Nigeria through Shell Recruitment Day



Attending a Shell Recruitment Day is the final step of the assessment process, taking you closer to a place on the Shell Graduate Programme.

You will attend an afternoon of non-assessed, interactive activities where you’ll be given further insight into Shell’s global businesses.

The next day features a series of final assessed individual and group exercises. It is designed to give you a realistic preview of the activities, in which Shell is involved, and the range and nature of issues facing our business.

The day includes an online exercise, a written exercise, group discussion, self-reflection interview, a presentation-based case study that includes a presentation and final interview.

What we are looking for
We will be observing your capacity for analysis, decision making and creating workable solutions.
Other qualities we’re looking for are drive and enthusiasm, resilience and confidence. Equally important is your ability to develop positive relationships and communicate well at all levels.
Based upon the talents, skills and knowledge you display, you could be offered a place on our Graduate Programme.

Before submitting your application you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire

If successful during the application stage, you will receive an e-mail notification with instructions on how to complete the online assessment. There are two parts to the online assessment.
* NOTE: Each part must be completed and submitted within 7 working days before the links within the e-mails you receive expire.
Part 1: A series of competency-based questions
These will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and will not be timed.  Once completed, you’ll receive an email notification with the outcome.
*NOTE: If you pass Part 1 of the online assessment you will receive an additional e-mail to notify that you have successfully completed Part 1 and this includes a link to begin Part 2 of the online assessment.
Part 2: Consists of two tasks: a decision-making and a problem-solving task: You will need to complete both tasks.
*NOTE: The decision-making task is not timed, but the problem-solving task is timed.
The decision-making task assesses how you respond to common situations that Shell graduates may face, and the problem-solving task assesses your capacity for solving numerical reasoning problems.
In total, part 2 of the online assessment should take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
Once you have submitted Part 2 of the online assessment we will review the results before contacting you to discuss a potential interview.
The interview will take place either face-to-face or over the telephone. This is an opportunity for you to tell us more about your motivations for applying, your achievements, the challenges you've faced and how you've demonstrated the qualities we're looking for.
Successfully passing your interview you could see yourself attending the Shell Recruitment Day, the final stage of the assessment process.
Following success in the first-stage interview, you will attend an afternoon of non-assessed, interactive activities where you’ll be given further insights into our global businesses.
The next day you will complete a range of assessed exercises which include an online simulation exercise, a written task, group discussion, self-reflection interview, presentation-based case study and final interview.
The Shell Recruitment Day concludes your assessment. Upon completion, we’ll be in touch to let you know the final outcome for suitable places on our Graduate Programme.

Get Employed through SURE-P







The Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Program known as 'SURE-P is a scheme established by the Federal Government of Nigeria during the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria to re-investing the Federal Government savings from fuel subsidy removal on critical infrastructure projects and social safety net programmes with direct impact on the citizens of Nigeria. SURE-P was established on January 2012 when the Federal Government of Nigeria announced the removal of subsidy on Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS). The scheme is one of the pivots of Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government. The pioneer Chairman of the program is General Martin Luther Agwai and succeeded by Mr Ishaya Dare Akau.
Objectives
The core objectives of the program includes but not limited to:
  • Provision of employments for unemployed graduates through internship programs
  • Creating database of unemployed youth and reduce social vulnerability among the group in the country through the mechanism of the policy.
The Recruitment aspect is of two types:
1.   Graduate Internship Program (GIS)-B.sc, HND, BA, MASTERS
The Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) was launched in October, 2012 to create opportunity for graduates to be attached to firms /organizations, where they can work for a year and enjoy a monthly stipend of N30,000 with a Group Life and Accident Insurance. Such interns can use the opportunity to gain working experience and enhance their employability skils.
The project has commenced registration of such firms and over 181,800 beneficiaries have been registered. This is beyond the threshold of 50,000 allotted for the scheme in any given year. Deployment of such beneficiaries has commenced.

Requirement:
·  Graduate Registration
  • To register as a graduate for this scheme you MUST:
    • Be a citizen of Nigeria (must provide a valid ID)
    • Be between ages 18 – 40 years (must provide birth certificate)
    • Have completed the mandatory NYSC or exempted.
    • Be holder of a degree equivalent (e.g. BSc, BEng, BA, HND etc.) certificate or higher qualification.
    • Have a recent passport type photo ready to be uploaded during online registration.  Please note size of image must not exceed 99kb.
    • Complete the online registration form.
    • Make available ALL original documents for sighting at point of selection.
  • Employer Registration
    • To register as an employer for this scheme you MUST:
      • Be registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other relevant professional bodies.
      • Provide evidence of VAT Registration and the latest Tax Clearance Certificate.
      • Prove that they are economically viable and engaged in legitimate business by providing other relevant documents e.g. Company Profile, Audited Accounts etc. This information will be used to examine the firm’s progression since its inception.
      • Be prepared to provide a mentoring plan for each intern.
      • Be prepared with specific assignments for interns.
      • Be able to employ interns for a period of one (1) year.
Note: Companies with outstanding tax issues or where the owners or directors have convictions for Fraud will not be eligible to register for the programme.
  • Internship Position Posting
    • Intern Positions posted must:
      • Be legitimate positions available on the stated timescale.
      • Be suitable work for a Graduate.
      • Not require the Graduate to undertake work that is illegal or unsafe.
      • Meet standard safety regulations/facilities.
      • Be able to provide at least 12 months of skills development.
      • Be able to provide a mentoring plan to guide skills development.
  • Applying for Work
    • When applying for positions as a Graduate you must:
      • Be available to work at the chosen business and location.
      • Be willing to undertake a full 12 month placement; and
      • Be prepared to comply with the employers' safety and employment practices.
  • Payment of Interns
    • Payment of Intern will be undertaken directly by the Federal Ministry of Finance, PIU to the Graduate Internship Scheme.
    • Neither the Graduate nor the Employer are required to pay any fee for using the Graduate Internship Scheme service, and no fees, charges or commissions are to be paid to any party in relation to this scheme by the Graduate or the Employer.
2.   TRAINEE –OND, ND, NCE, O’LEVEL
Trainee will be traineed by the federal Government in a preferred trade of their choice, soft loan will be made available to the trainee at the successful completion of training to enable them start on their own.

Police Recruitment Not Yet Started

RECRUITMENT OF 10,000 POLICE YET TO BEGIN

 

Following the approval for recruitment of 10,000 Police officers by the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigeria Police wishes to inform the general public that recruitment into the Force is yet to commence.

 

The modalities for the recruitment are being worked out with the Police Service Commission and would be announced in due course.

 

The general public is hereby warned to beware of online fraudsters who may take advantage of the recruitment information to defraud them of their hard earned money.
